A student has played a key role in rebranding a youth rowing organization that has become increasingly popular in the area.
John Sutton, a graphic design and photography scholar at Priestley College, was initiated by Warrington Youth Rowing to help facilitate its transition to All Aboard Youth Rowing.
A former pupil of Bridgewater High, John dedicated his personal time to this project, ultimately delivering a result that both he and the charity take pride in.
He mentioned: “I believe the essential aspect of my role is to accurately convey what the brand represents and fulfill the client’s expectations.
“In this instance, they were seeking a contemporary, innovative approach to differentiate themselves from other rowing clubs.”
His design incorporates two As, representing All Aboard, seamlessly integrated into the artwork.
It is designed to evoke the bow of a rowing boat, with a wave of water symbolizing the organization’s mission.
It is now prominently displayed on the charity’s website, social platforms, and on over 1,000 pieces of apparel produced annually.
Richard Sinnott, chief executive officer of All Aboard Youth Rowing, commented: “We were introduced to John and, after a few in-person meetings, we finalized our new logo.
“The design is highly professional and has been exceptionally well-received by everyone who has viewed it.”
All Aboard Youth Rowing sought help from Priestley College following the design of their prior logo by a former student.
The organization has since broadened its membership to various geographical regions and aimed for a name and brand that adequately reflects this expansion.
