Insights
Super League’s acquisition of Supersocial strengthens its position in branded gaming experiences with impressive client roster and proven engagement metrics.
The acquisition of Supersocial represents a strategic expansion of Super League’s capabilities in the branded gaming space, particularly on the Roblox platform. Supersocial brings relationships with premium brands including Gucci, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Warner Bros., Walmart, and Universal Music Group, significantly enhancing Super League’s client portfolio.
The combined entity now claims responsibility for 49 immersive builds generating over 390 million visits and 3+ billion impressions on Roblox. These metrics demonstrate meaningful scale within the Roblox ecosystem, which has become an increasingly important platform for brands seeking to engage younger demographics.
This acquisition aligns with the growing trend of brands seeking to become “playable” as consumers across demographics engage with gaming platforms. Super League is positioning itself as an intermediary that can help traditional brands navigate and establish presence in gaming spaces.
The press release indicates that Super League will inherit multiple live branded games and experiences, with more launches expected in coming months. This suggests immediate operational value rather than purely speculative future benefits.
Supersocial founder Yon Raz-Fridman transitioning to an advisory role rather than joining leadership may impact knowledge transfer and client relationship management, representing a potential integration consideration.
Accretive acquisition expands Super League’s revenue opportunities through cross-selling enhanced services to an expanded premium client base.
While specific financial terms aren’t disclosed, the press release explicitly describes this as an “accretive acquisition,” indicating positive expected contribution to Super League’s financial performance. The immediate value includes inheriting multiple live branded experiences with ongoing revenue potential.
The acquisition creates clear cross-selling opportunities, as Super League plans to offer Supersocial’s partners additional services including “turnkey playable advertising and playable content.” This expanded offering should increase potential revenue per client while leveraging existing relationships with premium brands.
The emphasis on “attributable, meaningful business outcomes for brands” suggests a commercially-focused approach rather than merely building engagement without clear ROI for clients. This positions the combined entity well in a market where marketing spend increasingly requires demonstrable returns.
Super League appears to be executing a horizontal integration strategy, acquiring complementary capabilities that expand both its service offerings and client relationships. This approach typically delivers more immediate value than purely speculative technology acquisitions.
The retained advisory relationship with Supersocial’s founder provides continuity for existing client relationships while allowing Super League to integrate the operations under its existing leadership structure.
Acquisition further solidifies Super League as a leading provider of effective solutions that make brands playable within mobile games and the world’s largest immersive platforms

Barça eSports have been crowned Superliga Domino’s champions in League of Legends. The Catalan side defeated GIANTX Pride 3-1 in Friday’s grand final of the Spring Split, held in front of hundreds of fans at the Municipal Theatre of Torrevieja. This marks Barça’s first Superliga title, confirming their status as one of the top teams in Spain’s competitive scene.
The path to glory was not straightforward. After a slow start to the season, Barça gradually found their rhythm and reached the Swiss Stage with a 6-4 record. There, they fell to UCAM Esports, but quickly turned things around with a series of key victories: Veni Vidi Vici (2-1), Movistar KOI Fénix (2-1) and LUA Gaming (3-1), followed by a thrilling 3-2 semifinal win over Los Heretics.
Despite GIANTX Pride entering the final as favorites, having dominated the regular season (8-1) and breezed past Heretics in the upper bracket, it was Barça who rose to the occasion. They claimed a closely fought opening game, lost the second in dominant fashion, but responded with a smart, coordinated effort in the third. With momentum on their side, they closed out the fourth game to seal the win. Local talent Sergio “Legolas” Vicente was named Final MVP, playing a decisive role in teamfights and clutch moments.
With this victory, Barça eSports finally claim their long-awaited title after falling short in two previous finals (Summer 2024 and Winter 2025, both lost to Heretics). This time, third time truly was the charm.
No rest for the champions: Barça eSports will now compete in the EMEA Masters, the international tournament bringing together the best regional teams from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
