MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team recognition, as announced by the organization on Monday.

The CSCAA announced the selection of 781 teams from 459 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team list for the fall 2024 semester. These teams represent 19,209 student-athletes and were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester. Founded in 1922, the CSCAA – the first organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for advancing the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.As a program, Wesleyan maintained a combined grade point average of 3.65 for the men’s team while the women’s team also sported a 3.65 GPA to earn this honor. The Cardinal men ranked 14th out of 143 Division III programs recognized in terms of team GPA, while the women are tied for 40th out of 177 Div. III programs. Wesleyan joined Amherst, Bates, Colby, Conn. College, Hamilton, Tufts, Trinity, and Williams as one of nine teams representing the NESCAC in the list.
