Tarleton State Beach Volleyball signs Emily Vickers from San Joaquin Delta College for 2025-26

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Beach Volleyball has announced its fifth signing for 2025-26, a two-year junior college student-athlete from San Joaquin Delta College, Emily Vickers.
 
Vickers (5-8) has played the last two seasons of both beach volleyball and indoor volleyball at Delta College, where she has earned accolades such as on the Delta Classic All-Tournament team twice and on the NorCal SoCal Showdown All-Tournament team twice.
 
For the Mustangs beach volleyball program her freshman year, Vickers played in 16 matches on Court 1, going 8-8. She redshirted this past season due to injury.
 
For the Mustangs indoor volleyball program, Vickers played outside hitter for two years. This past season she played in 22 matches, posting a team-high 277 kills and the second-most digs on the team with 213. As a true freshman in 2023, Vickers played in all 29 matches, logging 121 kills and 228 digs.
 
An Escalon, California, native, Vickers played four years of varsity volleyball at Escalon High School. She was the team captain two years, and helped her team win San Joaquin Section championship three times. She was named the Sacramento-High Volleyball Player of the Year, the Modesto Bee Player of the Year, League MVP, and Team MVP. She also played four varsity years of softball at Escalon HS.
 
Vickers earned a Torch of Excellence award at Delta College with a high GPA, plus was a scholar athlete three times in high school, reserved for those with 3.5-plus GPA’s. She will study kinesiology at Tarleton State University.
