Tarleton State Volleyball hits the road to take on UT Arlington

TEXAN VOLLEYBALL MATCH WEEK: The Purple and White will head to Arlington for their sixth conference match.The Texans are coming of a home win against California Baptist, where they defeated the Lancers Saturday afternoon, 3-1. This will be the second meeting between the Texans and the Mavericks this season. Tarleton State won last time the two teams faced off, 3-2.

Quick Points:

• The Texans are coming off a win at home, defeating CBU 3-1.
• The Texans rallied late in their match against ACU to bring home the win, 3-2.
• Tarleton State defeated UTA in their conference home opener earlier this season 3-2. 
• Emma Burke recorded a season high kills and blocks against ACU totaling 14 kills and nine blocks  
• Emma Burke also earned WAC player of the week for the match week of October 19th.
• Tarleton State swept SUU in their last home game.
• Morgan Carter is currently third in the WAC for digs with 296 digs. 
• Madison Rice-Locket totaled 16 kills against UTA  in their first match earlier this season. She also recorded 11 digs. She posted her fourth double-double of the season in this match.
• Alyssa Dinh led the team in blocks against the Mavericks with 11 blocks. She also totaled 10 kills, posting her first career double-double. 
• Morgan Carter has established herself in the Libero position for the Texans in the 2025 season. Against UTA, she totaled 23 digs and six assists for the Texans. 
• Teya Nguyen currently lead the serve game for the Texans with 20 service aces, two of which came from their first match against UTA this season
• Leddy Rae Guinn lead the Texans in services aces against UTA earlier in the season, totaling three aces.
• Megan Hodges set the Texan offense up well against UTA, tallying 27 assists and eight digs.
