All making their international season debut, the Lexettes won gold while Fond du Lac Blades and Team Image secured silver and bronze, respectively, to kick off the first competition of 2025 for the United States.

In the free skate, the team out of Norwood, Massachusetts, showcased four Level 4 elements, including a Level 4 intersection with a Level 4 point of intersection during their performance to “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish. Despite finishing second on day two, a segment score of 118.88 and total score of 187.29 cemented their position on the top step of the podium.

Rounding out the podium and taking home bronze for the stars and stripes was Team Image out of Hackensack, New Jersey.

Team USA’s three junior teams claimed all three spots on the podium this past weekend at Britannia Cup in Nottingham, Grean Britain.

Their short program set to “As If We Never Said Goodbye” by Barbra Streisand opened with a Level 4 twizzle element that collected 8.23 points. Despite three falls on their pivoting block, Team Image finished in the top three going in to the free skate with 52.92 points.

Skating to music from The Mask of Zorro, the Lexettes opened their short program with a Level 4 intersection with a Level 4 point of intersection, which was the highest scoring element of the event at 9.50 points and the only element to be awarded a GOE of 2.00. They also earned a Level 4 mark on their twizzle element to tally a score of 68.41.

Skating to “Your Dream Will Be My Dream” by Chad Reisser in the short program, the team garnered Level 4 distinctions on their twizzle, no hold and move elements for a score of 65.54.

Fond du Lac Blades captured the silver, scoring 176.99 points in total.

The reigning U.S. junior bronze medalists came back strong on day two, winning the free skate by 3.54 points. In their performance depicting the battle between good and evil, the team collected Level 4 marks on five elements, including their two intersections, which combined for nearly 20 points. They received a segment score of 122.41 and 175.33 points overall to clinch bronze.
