The Texas A&M Aggies were eliminated from the SEC Tournament by their in-state rivals, as the Texas Longhorns secured a 3-1 win to advance to the championship game against the Kentucky Wildcats.
Head coach Jamie Morrison’s squad captured a win over Texas during the regular season, but the firepower wasn’t enough to stop the Longhorns, who are riding a wave of momentum and a five-game winning streak into the finals of the tournament, after outscoring Ole Miss 75-36 in a total sweep of the Rebels in their quarterfinal match.
Kyndal Stowers and Logan Lednicky lead the team with 18 and 12 kills, respectively. The Aggies secured 52 kills and 16 blocks as a unit, while Texas recorded 58 kills and 15 blocks.
