All four teams will be competing in their final season in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Associations (CCSA) this year. This will mark the first appearance for any Longhorn program in the MPSF.
“Joining the MPSF Conference provides our student-athletes the opportunity to compete against some of the nation’s best,” Head Coach Stein Metzger said. “I look forward to growing the conference and have nothing but great respect for the coaches and programs that we will be joining. With the ever-changing landscape of college athletics, this move will continue to support women’s collegiate athletics, specifically Beach Volleyball, and will have the Longhorns competing against some of the top institutions.”
The 2025 season marks the MPSF’s inaugural beach volleyball season with Washington, USC, Grand Canyon, Stanford, Oregon, California, and UCLA. The Longhorns will be joining the MPSF for their second beach volleyball season in 2026.
Texas Beach Volleyball is set to play in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) in 2026, the league office announced on Thursday. The Longhorns are joining the MPSF Conference along with Florida State, LSU and South Carolina, giving the league 11 teams at the beginning of the 2026 season.
Texas remains in the CCSA for the 2025 season and will compete for the CCSA Championship in Huntsville, Alabama and 2025 National Championship in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Longhorn Beach Volleyball is set to begin their 2025 season in the HCU Tournament on February 22 and CCSA play starts against Florida State University in the TCU Invitational on March 7.
