New London, Conn. – Colby Track & Field wrapped up its 2025 outdoor season with strong performances at the NCAA Division III New England Championships, hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The Mules posted facility records, personal bests, and national-level marks, with the women finishing 5th and the men placing 7th overall.

On the women’s side, Fiona Mejico won the 200m in 24.55 (#22 DIII all-time), followed closely by Simone Waheed (24.59, #26 DIII) and Tally Zeller (25.39). Olivia Doherty placed 3rd in the 400m (57.25) and anchored the 4×800 relay to a new facility record and 3rd place finish (9:16.10). The 4×100 relay team of Zeller, Mejico, Waheed, and Charlotte Brake-Hoffman dominated in 46.68—setting new meet, facility, and school records, and ranking #10 all-time in DIII. Multi-athlete Sarah Lenox placed 4th in the heptathlon high jump and scored across several events. Maddie Bush clocked a season-best 2:18.71 in the 800m.

The men’s team was led by Ian Irwin (21.51) and Peter Martel (21.55) in the 200m—both among DIII’s top 55 ever. Ren Zanze took 5th in the 400m (48.85), and Levi Biery ran a personal-best 14.86 in the 110m hurdles. The 4×400 squad of Coelho, S. Graubart, M. Graubart, and Thornton-Sherman placed 5th, setting a new facility record in 3:18.44. Lexington Lehnert cleared 4.85m in pole vault for 4th, with Martel and Logan Lehnert tying for 5th.

The Mules will later be in Williams College at Williamstown, Mass. starting on May 9 for the F.I.R.E Meet.
