Recently, eighteen members of the Paynesville Probus Club had the opportunity to dive into the Melbourne experience.
Their stay at the Grand Hotel brought back memories of an earlier time, enhanced not just by the vintage decor but also by the dedicated service from the hotel staff.
The group engaged in a variety of activities, from enjoying The Tina Turner Musical to shopping at Myer, and also visited The Da Vinci Exhibition at the Lume along with The State Library.
Of course, indulging in culinary delights and the occasional cocktail certainly contributed to making the trip unforgettable.
Not satisfied with just experiencing Melbourne, the group once again hopped on the train for a day trip to Castlemaine, where the pleasures of exploration and good food were equally enjoyed by the group.
Each day concluded with happy hour before they set out for dinner.
While not every moment went according to plan, the delay of the Melbourne to Bairnsdale train resulted in a two-hour wait for buses at Traralgon.
Nevertheless, the group handled the setback gracefully, and everyone agreed that the trip was an overwhelming success.
