The 2024 Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas, NV extended beyond just bodybuilding. It was a grand event honoring fitness and camaraderie. Attendees at this yearly celebration created and experienced unforgettable moments that will endure for years.
Among them was Tony Saxby of W.O.L.F. Fitness, who participated not merely as an enthusiast. He had the honor of presenting an award on the Olympia stage alongside YouTube star Jesse James West. Attending for the sixth time, Saxby declared it the finest Olympia experience thus far.
“It was truly amazing to have the level of access we enjoyed. I want to extend my gratitude to Dan Solomon for that.”
The Olympia Weekend also fueled Saxby’s intense passion for the fitness industry and community. As the head of W.O.L.F. Fitness, a rapidly expanding gym franchise, Saxby actively assists countless individuals in reaching their fitness goals while simultaneously developing his brand on both larger and smaller scales.
New Beginnings
The inception of W.O.L.F. dates back to 2017 when Saxby and his wife were enjoying a vacation. In search of a gym, they stumbled upon Brigantine Fitness in Brigantine, NJ. While it served their needs, it clearly required some attention. Most individuals might have viewed the dilapidated gym as a lost cause, but Saxby recognized potential.
“It was a hidden gem,” he reminisced. “It had a solid foundation but had gone two decades without a renovation.”
The couple inquired whether the gym was available for sale, and they sprang into action. Saxby, already familiar with building a fitness business, had experience that originated from his teenage years at the YMCA, progressing to personal training, and eventually creating a popular boot camp class with over 200 dedicated members. His followers were so loyal that when Saxby didn’t get a raise, he rented a football field to conduct his classes on his own, and the members stayed with him for two years until he could relocate to a gym facility.
“Through rain, snow, or shine, for two years before I could secure a proper location, I was out there at 4, 5, and 6 AM working out.”
Saxby showed such commitment that he even crafted weights from concrete and PVC for his group. This level of perseverance would undoubtedly benefit him in the future. After transitioning his business indoors, he sold it and launched another one. The growth continued, adding fuel to his ambitions.
That drive and experience were pivotal in the emergence of W.O.L.F. Fitness. His wife, Trish, coined the name as an acronym for “Work Out, Live Fierce.” This defined the atmosphere they aspired to establish—a space for athletes from diverse fitness backgrounds to unite in training and mutual support. W.O.L.F. Fitness Gyms attract members from bodybuilding, powerlifting, CrossFit, and those simply seeking improved health.
“We aim for it to embody an alpha mentality while fostering a community. It’s important to us to create a network of like-minded individuals.”
The growth trajectory has been swift, and it shows no sign of slowing. The couple is expanding the W.O.L.F. brand to include franchise opportunities. By 2024, there are three franchises operating in New Jersey, with more than 10 additional locations in the pipeline expected to open within the next year.
“These people have cultivated such a remarkable community, and that’s what we’re striving for nationally.”
This community extends beyond the gym, involving friends and allies. Support for Saxby and W.O.L.F. has come from figures like Solomon, Hollywood star Dave Bautista, and the team at Gym Launch.
“We have all aligned to craft what we envision—a collection of outstanding training facilities.”
A Unique Dedication to Country
Saxby also has a background in law enforcement, which he proudly embraces. His experience in this field, combined with his deep sense of patriotism, drives his support for the men and women of the U.S. military, both past and present, a commitment reflected in each W.O.L.F. location.
“In every one of our gyms, you will find the values Honor, Commitment, Community, and Integrity—not only because they hold great significance for us, but we aspire for these principles to become embedded in our members’ minds as the essence of who we are.”
These values and his patriotism are the reasons Saxby has dedicated himself and W.O.L.F. Fitness to serve the nation. They provide complimentary memberships and training services for individuals preparing to enlist in the military, along with tailored workout routines and nutrition programs. Additionally, they offer supplementation strategies, including their own Live Fierce supplement line. This initiative, among others, signifies their commitment to investing in the future of national security. Saxby views this gesture as simply fulfilling an obligation.
“It’s what we ought to do, in my opinion,” he stated. “There’s a significant need for qualified individuals to join the forces. Now is the moment for people to prioritize health and fitness while supporting our nation. Everyone should be taking action.”
Saxby and his team have further ambitions in place that focus on aiding military personnel and veterans, which they plan to announce soon. Ultimately, he believes any and all efforts from W.O.L.F. Fitness to assist veterans and service members pale in comparison to their sacrifices for freedom.
“We’ve got growth on the horizon, which excites me,” he said with pride. “This has truly been my life’s ambition.” To discover more about W.O.L.F. Fitness, visit www.wolffitnessgyms.com or follow @wolf_fitness_gyms on Instagram.
