From preschool to professional, Plano Public Library (PPL) has something for everyone. Take a look at PPL’s free programs – offered both in-person and virtually – for all your educating and entertaining needs:

  1. Elevate Your Game with eSports XPBoost Academy (Grades 4-12)

This program by Top Achievers aims to develop critical skills for academic, personal, and career success through structured gameplay and character development. By integrating social and emotional learning with esports, the XPBoost Academy helps students become effective communicators, collaborative teammates, and confident leaders. This unique approach prepares them for future opportunities in both gaming and a wide range of innovative careers.

SCORE offers successful certified mentors with extensive experience in corporate business and entrepreneurship, offering valuable, timely, and practical advice on all aspects of business. This service is free for startups and existing businesses.

Do you have a business idea and don’t know where to start?

This free course will teach you the skills to turn your idea into a business in just 7 weeks, presented by a SCORE-certified business mentor. These classes are completely free. It’s important to attend all sessions for optimal learning. A course certificate will be awarded to those who complete all classes.

Are you an adult who speaks English as a second language? Enhance your English conversation skills in a relaxed group setting at Parr. Our program is designed to accommodate families, so bring your little ones along! While you engage in meaningful discussions on everyday topics, boost your confidence, and meet people from around the world, your children (ages 0-5) can enjoy toys and playtime. Learn about American culture in a supportive environment. Basic English is required.

If you do not already have a Plano Public Library card, be sure to register online here. All Plano Public Library locations are open to use computers, browse the collection, and attend in-person programs. Porchside pickup for holds is available, and you can always access eLibrary content online.
