MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The College of Charleston track and field team makes its only trip to South Carolina during the outdoor season at the Weems Baskin Invitational on Saturday.Caroline Cassidy (ninth) joined Townsend in the top 10 in the 400m. Charlotte Elliston and Boston Stringer are tied for seventh in the pole vault.The Cougars will be looking to build on a solid start in Myrtle Beach last week, including four freshmen who entered the school record book. That quartet was led by Emma Townsend, who set the Charleston record in the 400m while also taking over fourth in the 100m and seventh in the 200m. Two jumpers cracked the record book with Gabby David placing seventh in the long jump, and Kinsley Allen edging into ninth in the triple jump. Allen also had a PR in the high jump and is third in Cougar annals.COUGAR ENTRIES
