BOZEMAN, Mont. — The Montana State track & field program opens its 2025-26 season on Wednesday at home, welcoming in-state collegiate teams to Bozeman for the Bobcat PReview at the Kennedy-Stark Athletic Center. The meet marks the Bobcats’ debut in the new facility, kicking off a slate of seven regular-season meets for Montana State, including four at home.

The meet is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. with the women’s long jump, which features Sabine Brueck, Hailey Coey, Hailey Ells, and Tamia Ramos. Running events will kick off with the women’s 60-meter hurdles at 3 p.m., with Brueck, Ells, Millie Hubbell, and Olivia Lewis representing the Bobcats in that event.

Live results from the Bobcat PReview will be available here. The meet will not be live streamed.

“The track & field team is excited every year to compete after training all summer and fall,” Dale Kennedy Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Lyle Weese said. “With the added element of competing in the Kennedy-Stark Athletic Center for the first time, the anticipation is at an all-time high. This meet will showcase the jumps, vault, throws, and sprints. It will be great to get a checkpoint for where everyone is at after fall training.”

The Bobcats will be joined by athletes from seven other Montana Schools as Carroll College, Montana, Montana State-Billings, Montana Tech, Montana Western, Providence, and Rocky Mountain College all make the trek to Bozeman on Thursday.

A total of 43 Bobcats – 23 women and 22 men – are scheduled to compete on Thursday. On the women’s side, those athletes include Megan Bell, Emma Brensdal, Sydney Brewster, Sabine Brueck, Hailey Coey, Hailey Ells, Giulia Gandolfi, Peyton Garrison, Libby Hansen, Caroline Hawkes, Maggie Hillis, Millie Hubbell, Annie Kaul, Olivia Lewis, Jenavieve Lynch, Sydney Mattfeldt, Sophia Miller, Tamia Ramos, Brooke Reuter, Tatum Richards, Ave Roberts, Jadyn VanDyken, and Jaeden Wolff

The men’s competitors include Ethan Anderson, Noah Barbery, Trystin Chapel, Nash Coley, Billy Cunningham, Matt Furdyk, Tyler Gilman, Jett Grundy, Easton Hatleberg, Talon Holmquist, Jordan Lasher, Chase McGee, Mathias Mees, Peyton Nelson, Destiny Nkeonye, Mario Oblad, Ben Parks, Malikye Simpson, Xavier Simpson, Stryder Todd-Fields, Drake Wilkes, and Preston Wysocki.

Montana State will look to build on a historic 2024-25 season that saw the Bobcats send a record number of competitors to both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championship meets. Rob McManus led a group of seven Bobcats competing across four events at the national outdoor meet, placing eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to earn First-Team All-America honors.
Indoors, four Cats made the trip to the NCAA Championships as McManus, Shelby Schweyen, and Harvey Cramb brought Second-Team All-America honors back to Bozeman.

The Bobcats also found great success at the conference level in 2025. Six individuals and two relay teams captured Big Sky titles across the indoor and outdoor seasons as the men and women finished runner-up as a team at both conference meets.

The 2025-26 indoor season will take the Bobcats around the west as Montana State competes in seven regular-season meets before opening the postseason. MSU’s indoor slate consists of this week’s Bobcat PReview (Dec. 4) and the Bobcat Challenge (Jan. 23-24) in Bozeman before the Bobcats trek to Pocatello, Idaho, for the Stacy Dragila Invite (Jan. 30). Montana State returns home for the Carignan Classic (Feb. 6) before splitting squads between the Don Kirby Elite Invitational and the Husky Classic (Feb. 13-14). Montana State hosts the Big Sky Tuner (Feb. 19) to wrap up the regular season before returning to Pocatello for the Big Sky Indoor Championships (Feb. 26-28). The Bobcats will wrap up indoor competition at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., on March 13-14.
