FHSAA Flag Football: Central get revenge with playoff win over PB Gardens
The Fort Pierce Central flag football team defeated Palm Beach Gardens in a Region 3-4A semifinal on Monday, April 28, 2025 from Fort Pierce.

No. 1 Wellington (16-1) 27, No. 2 Fort Pierce Central (18-2) 19
For the second year in a row, the Cobras saw their season reach its conclusion at the hands of the Wolverines, falling at home to the region’s top seed.
Wellington led 13-6 at the half and as much as 27-6 in the third quarter. Central cut the gap with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but fell just short.
Stats were unavailable for the Cobras, who will lose Tajeyah Chance, Adrienne Rivera, Joselyn Rosas and Aiyana Grossman to graduation.
Beach Volleyball
Region 2-3A semifinal
No. 2 Winter Park 3, No. 3 Vero Beach 2
For the first time in program history, Vero won’t be headed to Tallahassee as the team suffered a road loss to the Wildcats. Both of Vero Beach’s defeats this season were by a 3-2 result.

Boys Lacrosse
Region 4-2A semifinal
No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas (18-3) 17, No. 5 Martin County (11-6) 0
The last remaining boys team saw its season come to an end as the Tigers were shutout for first time this season in a road loss to the Raiders in Fort Lauderdale.
Martin County finishes the season with a 11-6 record. The team recorded its highest win total since going 13-3 in 2022.
