WASHINGTON (7News) — Supporters of President Donald Trump, some in “Proud Boys” gear, were seen marching and chanting in the streets of Washington, D.C. on Inauguration Day.7News will live-stream the Inauguration Day events on its website, Facebook, and YouTube pages.7News Photojournalist Marco Tavares also caught some members of the group along G Street as they collided with counter-protesters.The inauguration coincides with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday, and will include heightened security measures across D.C. with 25,000 law enforcement and military personnel, including the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and nearly 4,000 officers from across the nation.According to a social media user, the group walked from Capital One Arena and made their way along F Street before they dispersed.Crowds of people were seen in the area outside of Capital One Arena for hours — some overnight— to enter the arena to celebrate Trump.
