UCLA Gymnastics Ranked No. 10 in Preseason Coaches Poll

UCLA enters the 2025 season ranked No. 10 in the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) preseason coaches’ poll. The Bruins have received a Top 10 ranking in every preseason poll of record since 1997.
 
Oklahoma earned the top spot with 1963 points and 42 first-place votes, beating out defending NCAA champion LSU, which received 1871 points and six first-place votes. No. 3 Florida (5), No. 4 California (1) and No. 5 Utah (1) were the only other teams to receive first-place votes. Other teams ranked in the Top 10 are No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 Kentucky, No. 8 Arkansas and No. 9 Missouri.
 
UCLA is the highest-ranked Big Ten team at No. 10, one spot ahead of 2024 Big Ten champion Michigan State. Also ranked in the Top 36 are No. 13 Michigan, No. 16 Ohio State, No. 18 Minnesota, No. 21 Penn State, No. 22 Illinois, No. 23 Nebraska, No. 24 Maryland, No. 26 Washington and No. 29 Iowa.
 
The Bruins will face 16 Top 36 opponents in 2025, with home meets against No. 22 Illinois (Jan. 25), No. 11 Michigan State (Feb. 1), No. 21 Penn State (Feb. 14) and No. 15 Stanford (Mar. 9).
 
UCLA hosts its Meet the Bruins season preview on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2pm in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. The event is free and open to the public. It will also be aired on Big Ten Plus. Bruin fans will be treated to a sneak peek of UCLA’s new routines, including the highly-anticipated floor exercise routines.
