Unrivaled, the upcoming 3-on-3 women’s basketball league set to debut this winter, has secured a name, image, and likeness deal with LSU standout guard Flau’jae Johnson.
Johnson becomes the second collegiate athlete to sign with Unrivaled, following UConn’s Paige Bueckers. Although they will not compete in the upcoming inaugural season, both Johnson and Bueckers will hold equity in the league.
On Thursday, Unrivaled released a social media video featuring Johnson — who is also pursuing a rising career in rap — performing a song while sporting a shirt that says, “The Future is Unrivaled.” As part of the agreement, Johnson will generate additional promotional material for the league.
At 21, Johnson was a freshman on the LSU squad that clinched the national championship in 2023.
In her junior season now, Johnson is posting career-high averages of 22.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game after 10 games for the No. 5 Tigers (10-0). She is currently ranked eighth in Division I scoring.
Johnson’s career averages stand at 14.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game over 82 career games (80 starts) for LSU.
