MILWAUKEE (Dec. 5, 2024) – This festive season, UScellular is contributing to the Milwaukee community by donating $5,000 worth of sports gear to Wisconsin Bike Fed, aiding its goal of fostering, inspiring, and unifying residents, communities, and businesses to promote cycling in Wisconsin.

This contribution features winter biking apparel, custom grip gloves, bike computers, and cycling bags.

As part of UScellular’s “Gift of Connection” initiative, the contribution to Wisconsin Bike Fed is among 50 donations made to non-profits nationwide. The company is assisting organizations by supplying essential items in appreciation of their commitment to building connections through art, music, and sports within their local areas.

“We’re delighted to support Wisconsin Bike Fed with a donation of sports equipment as they continue to serve as a vital resource for the Milwaukee community,” stated Marlon Bailey, director of sales at UScellular for N. Illinois and Wisconsin. “Giving back is integral to UScellular’s mission to connect individuals to what matters most, and we are proud to extend the gift of connection this holiday season.”

“Wisconsin Bike Fed is a statewide non-profit organization focused on bicycle education, encouragement, and advocacy, motivating people from all backgrounds to ride more frequently as we collaborate to enhance safety for vulnerable road users,” remarked Jake Newborn, assistant director at Wisconsin Bike Fed.

“This generous donation will directly support Bike Fed’s programs for teens in Milwaukee. We asked for food to provide for participants, winter gear to prepare students for cold-weather rides, materials for creating high-visibility clothing, and technology to assist our storytelling efforts on social media,” added Alora Correa, Milwaukee High School program manager at Wisconsin Bike Fed.

UScellular is also inviting community members to join the Gift of Connection through a donation drive at selected UScellular retail outlets.
