“I am excited to welcome Janre Jögi to UTSA and the opportunity to add another talented athlete that has proven his ability on the international stage, helping us build the future strength of our multi-event and jump squads,” Fox said. “We can’t wait to get him on campus to start working toward his academic and athletic goals.”

Jögi is also a proven performer at the individual events, currently ranking 109th in the world U20 in the long jump at this year’s indoor best of 7.21m (23-8) at the Estonian U20 Indoor Championships in February. Representing Estonia at the 17th European Youth Olympic Festival in 2023 in Maribor, Slovenia, Jögi recorded his outdoor-best long jump of 7.23m (23-8.75) for fourth place. That season, Jögi also won the Estonian U18 Championships and Baltic U18 Indoor Championships in the long jump event.

Jögi is currently ranked 44th in the world this season among U20 heptathletes after recording a career-best 5,059 points while earning second place at the 2025 Estonian U20 Indoor Combined Events Championships. He also registered a fourth-place heptathlon performance at this year’s Baltic Counties U20 Combined Events Team Championships.
SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Director Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox announced on Friday that the Roadrunners will add another multi-event Estonian athlete to the roster, with the addition of Janre Jögi for next season.
