The female preliminary rounds showcased competitive volleyball with Mona Campus emerging as the dominant force in the students’ category, sweeping both encounters against Five Islands with convincing straight-set victories.
In the students’ division, Mona demonstrated superior court coverage and attacking prowess, winning their matches 25-11, 25-5 and 25-0, 25-0 respectively, effectively ending Five Islands’ tournament hopes in the preliminary stage.
The Alumni/Club category provided more competitive action with six teams battling for semi-final positions. Da Squad proved to be the standout performers, defeating both Royal Cruisers (25-20, 25-10) and Mona (25-24, 25-22) to secure their semi-final berth with an unbeaten record.
Stoneville also impressed in the Alumni/Club division, recording victories over Da Squad (22-25, 25-14, 15-13) and Mona (16-25, 25-22), while Royal Cruisers bounced back from their opening defeat to overcome Stoneville (16-25, 25-23, 15-9).
