Volleyball Programs Earn AVCA Team Academic Award; Women Named to Honor Roll
The Team Academic Award goes to any team with a 3.30 cumulative team GPA for an academic year. This is the 15th time, and the 12th year in a row, that the Purdue Fort Wayne women’s program has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award. This is the third time the men’s program has earned the honor, and first since 2018.
The Team Academic Award Honor Roll accolade recognizes the top 20 percent of team GPAs in each division, making the Mastodon women’s volleyball program one of only 47 teams in NCAA Division I to pick up the honor. Cleveland State and Green Bay were the only other Horizon League schools to be named to the Team Academic Honor Roll.
In the 2024-25 academic year, the Mastodon women had a cumulative team GPA of 3.70. The men owned a 3.39 mark.
