NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State volleyball team continued its non-conference slate on Tuesday night, showing competitive stretches in each set before falling to Lipscomb in three (11-25, 18-25, 16-25).

The Tigers (1-6) were led by junior outside hitter Aliyah Harris, who paced the offense with eight kills. Freshman setter Sagaia Reilly continued to spread the ball well, finishing with a team-high nine assists, while Erini Bitsaktsi anchored the defense with nine digs and added the team’s lone ace.

Lipscomb jumped out to an early lead, but Harris and the Tigers kept swinging, with freshman Sydni Poston and Bitsaktsi providing key defensive stops. The Bisons took the frame 25-11.

Tennessee State found its rhythm in the second set, battling to seven ties and pulling within a point at 15-14 behind a strong serving stretch from Bitsaktsi and timely kills from Harris. Despite the momentum, Lipscomb pulled away late for a 25-18 win.

The Tigers continued to fight in the third, keeping the score within striking distance early with contributions from Harris at the net and Reilly setting up the offense. Lipscomb secured the sweep with a 25-16 finish.
