Volleyball Resumes NCAA Tournament Run Wednesday

Waterville, Maine – After being crowned NCAA regional champions, the Colby Volleyball team is set to resume their impressive tournament run this Wednesday, Dec. 3rd in Bloomington, Ill. The fourth ranked Mules will matchup against #14 Trinity (TX) in the Elite 8 scheduled for a 11:30am (CST) / 12:30pm (EST) start. The two teams have never faced each other before and the last and only time Colby made it to the NCAA Elite 8 was back in 2005. 

The Tigers, coming out of the Southern Athletic Association conference (SAA), head into the matchup with a 25-5 record including a 13-1 conference record.

The winner will advance to a final four matchup taking place the next day (Thursday, Dec. 4th) against the victor of Wisconsin-Oshkosh vs. Calvin. The NCAA DIII Volleyball Championship match will be held on Saturday, December 6th. All matches will take place in the Shirk Center on the Campus of Illinois Wesleyan.
