Volleyball: Twelve Henderson players earn All-District honors

Spring Hill’s Savannah Irwin and Pine Tree’s Carly Chadwick shared Most Valuable Player honors with the release of the District 16-4A All-District Volleyball Team for the 2025 season.

Irwin, a senior, had 529 digs, 342 kills, 68 aces and was a 95.8% server for a Spring Hill team that advanced to the state semifinals for the first time in school history. The Lady Panthers finished 40-7 overall and 12-0 in district play, falling to eventual state champion Eagle Mountain in the 4A Division II state semifinals.

Chadwick recorded 793 assists, 140 kills, 301 digs, 104 aces and 18 blocks for district runner-up Pine Tree. The Lady Pirates finished the year 27-15, falling to Lindale in the opening round of the playoffs.

Other superlatives went to Most Valuable Setter Caroline Cockerham of Carthage, Most Valuable Hitter Elizabeth Corbitt of Spring Hill, Co-Most Valuable Defensive Players Allison Vasquez of Pine Tree and Laney Alexander of Carthage, Most Valuable Blocker Giselle Webster of Kilgore, Server of the Year Chesney Jeter of Spring Hill, Newcomer of the Year Blair Schroeder of Pine Tree and Coach of the Year Andrew Harbison of Spring Hill.

Voting was conducted by the district’s coaches.
