WATERTOWN — Both Watertown and Aberdeen Central achieved a perfect record of 4-0 at the Marv Sherrill Duals boys wrestling tournament held on Saturday in the Civic Arena.
The Arrows (now boasting a 6-0 record this season) triumphed over Huron with a score of 67-10, Canby (Minn.) 50-20, Tea Area 51-27, and Mitchell 71-6. Meanwhile, Aberdeen Central defeated Milbank 75-6, Yankton 71-4, Mitchell 67-9, and Tea Area 66-12.
Canby concluded the event with a 3-1 record, winning against Tea Area 41-21, Huron 64-13, and Yankton 66-16. Milbank also ended with a 3-1 record, achieving victories over Mitchell 36-31, Yankton 44-36, and Huron 45-34.

Braylon Schell (106 pounds), Chase Mathews (120), Kutler Swenson (132), Gage Lohr (138), Markus Pitkin (157), and Micah Hach (285) all registered 4-0 records for Watertown. Jackson Dargatz (106), Esten Foss (113), Will Allen (132), Brody Aesoph (144-156), and Ryker Meister (215) each finished 4-0, while Tate Huff (138), Ridley Waldo (144-150), Mason Schrempp (157-165), Owen Ward (157), Elias Biegler (165-175), and Cole Dunlavy (190) each went 3-0 for Aberdeen Central. Canby’s Sam Drietz (165), Blake Giese (175), and Milbank’s Tate Schlueter (175) also achieved 4-0 records. Watertown Girls Invitational
WATERTOWN — Pierre emerged victorious with 205 points at the inaugural Watertown Girls Invitational tournament held on Friday in the Civic Arena.
Canton secured second place with 190 points, trailed by Aberdeen Central at 129.5 and Watertown at 102. Competing teams included wrestlers from 20 schools.
Individual champions in the area featured Liza Krueger of Groton Area (100), Brooklynn Randall of Watertown (114), Jaidynn Giedd of Kingsbury County (152), Reganne Miles of Doland (160), Allison Konrad of Watertown (185), and Eden Hach of Watertown (235). Olivia Anderson of Watertown (120) and Lilly Nelson of Aberdeen Central (160) each placed second.
Clark-Willow Lake WBC Invite
CLARK — The host Clark-Willow Lake team claimed five championships, leading them to victory at the Clark-Willow Lake Wrestling Booster Club Invite on Saturday with a score of 160.5.
Kingsbury County secured second place with 153, followed by Groton Area (143.5) and Webster Area (100).
Champions from CWL included Benny Pommer (106), Cade Gaikowski (113), Cooper Pommer (126), Elliot Bratland (165), and Josh Kannegieter (190).
Other area champions featured Emerson Sine of Tiospa Zina (90-98), Cash Edgar of Faulkton Area (120), Rogan Albrecht (132) and Gannon Gilligan (138) of Kingsbury County, Haeden Jorgenson of Webster Area, Bryce Hawkinson (150) and Tucker Hardy (215) from Britton-Hecla, and Christian Ehresmann (157), Korbin Kucker (175), and Gavin Englund (285) of Groton Area.Top of The RockDELL RAPIDS — Canton (boys) and Sioux Valley (girls) were crowned champions at the Top of the Rock tournament on Saturday. Canton achieved the boys division title with a total of 206 points, while Hamlin-Castlewood ranked eighth with 28 points. Sioux Valley, boasting champions Anna Field (114) and Summer Guthmiller (145-152), won the girls division with 55 points. Notable winners included Liza Krueger of Groton Area (100-107) and Kyla Logan (132-138) along with Reganne Miles (165-185) of Doland.
Dan Unruh Invite
WAHPETON, N.D. — Sisseton secured five championships at the Dan Unruh Invite, finishing first with 206.5 points.
Border West (Minn.) placed second with 107.5 points.
Champions for Sisseton included Aykre Piotter (107), Kayden Tchida (114), Evan Folk (121), Ian Metz (127), and Holden Hawkins (160). Jude Olson earned first place at 152 for Border West.
Stanley County Invite
FORT PIERRE — The competitions on Saturday saw Philip-Kadoka Area-Wall (boys, 207.5 points) and Stanley County girls (54 points) both capture their respective division titles in the Stanley County Invite.
Potter County finished fourth (83), while Mobridge-Pollock was sixth (48.5), and Ipswich-Bowdle eighth (24) in the boys division.
Champions from the area included Jack Stuwe (126) and Lane Stuwe (132) from Potter County, Justin Rohrbach (190) of Ipswich-Bowdle, and Wyatt Zeigler of Mobridge-Pollock (285).
In the girls division, area champs included Sophia Knittel of Ipswich-Bowdle (132) and Dora Bonen of Mobridge-Pollock (138).
K-WL-PG Invite
KIMBALL — Winner narrowly defeated host Kimball-White Lake/Platte-Geddes 192-191.5 to clinch the title in the KWLPG Boys Invitational.
Sunshine Bible Academy secured ninth place with 17 points.
