Matchup to Watch: Cade Otton against Las Vegas Raiders

Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton may not be a superstar, but he has emerged as a dependable fantasy tight end this season. He experienced a phase where he was arguably Baker Mayfield’s primary target, maintaining his productivity despite Mike Evans returning to the field.

Last week, Otton recorded just 20 receiving yards versus the Panthers, but he managed to secure four out of seven passes directed his way.

The 25-year-old is likely to enjoy a comparable target share this week, as the Buccaneers prepare to face the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders nearly pulled off an upset against Kansas City last Friday, but they allowed Travis Kelce to make seven receptions for 68 yards.

The Raiders have had difficulties controlling tight ends all year, yielding the third-most fantasy points to the position. While they may strategize for Evans, Tampa’s offensive coordinator Liam Coen has demonstrated his ability to adjust the game plan dynamically. Anticipate that this week’s strategy will heavily feature Otton in the passing offense.
