ANN ARBOR, Mich. — On Friday evening, the Western Michigan gymnastics squad concluded its yearly exhibition competition at the University of Michigan.
The Broncos achieved a score of 194.175, surpassing Eastern Michigan’s 191.700. The Wolverines tallied a score of 195.600.
On the floor event, Western Michigan excelled with a score of 48.775. Cassie St. Clair secured the best score for her team at 9.850, finishing third overall, followed closely by Hannah Milton and Ally Schaupp, both with scores of 9.825. The Broncos earned a combined score of 48.725 on the vault, led by Halle Faulkner, who scored 9.800.
On beam, Schaupp recorded WMU’s highest score of 9.800, while Makenna King and Reese Samuelson each achieved a score of 9.750 on bars, allowing them to tie for second overall.
Freshman Reilan Garvey secured second place in the all-around with a total score of 38.700, having scored 9.750 on vault, 9.650 on bars, 9.700 on beam, and 9.600 on floor.
Western Michigan will commence the 2025 regular season at Michigan State on Saturday, January 4 at 4 p.m.
