EUGENE, Ore.- The Central Washington University track and field team will head south to compete in the 2025 Oregon Preview that will take place on Friday, March 21st and Saturday, March 22nd at Hayward Field. The Crimson and Black will have 22 competitors this weekend and will be looking to secure event wins.

ABOUT THE MEET
Ashlyn Nielsen will represent the Wildcats in the women’s 100-meter dash, while her teammate Zoe Gonzales will compete in the women’s 200-meter dash. Donna Marie Harris, Elise Hopper, and Meggie Kilup will take on the women’s 400-meter dash. Payton Conover, Camryn Holterhoff, and Julie Johnson are set to race in the 5000-meter run, aiming to build on their impressive indoor seasons. Carley Huber will compete in the women’s 400-meter hurdles.Cal’von Baker will represent CWU in the high jump, while Wes Kriete will compete in the shot put, and Wyatt Franklin will take part in the discus throw.Reigning Indoor National Champion Emy Ntekpere is poised to make her mark in the women’s long jump and high jump. Kamila Salanoa will compete in the women’s shot put, while Joy Ayodeji, Bailey Board, and Lauryn McGough will represent the ‘Cats in the women’s javelin throw. Payton Elenbaas will participate in both the discus throw and hammer throw.On the men’s side, Cohen Hall will make his collegiate debut in the men’s 200-meter dash. Johan Correa and Max Hutton will compete in the 800-meter run, with Hutton also participating in the 1500-meter run alongside teammate Will McGonigal. McGonigal will also compete in the 5000-meter run. Josh Boast, David Brown, and Ian Calhoon will race in the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles.The meet will begin Friday at 12:00 p.m. with the men’s hammer throw at Hammer Field. Day one will conclude with the men’s 2k Steeplechase, set to take place at 7:44 p.m. Day two will kick off with the women’s pole vault at the east runway at 11:30 a.m. and wrap up with the men’s 4×400-meter relay at 6:00 p.m.
