WKU Volleyball Earning Votes in Latest Taraflex/AVCA Coaches Poll
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The latest Taraflex/AVCA Coaches poll came out on Monday, with WKU Volleyball moving up one spot to #29.
The Hilltoppers are officially receiving votes and earned a total of 20 after going 2-1 in the WKU Invitational. The lone loss on the weekend was a five-set thriller against Drake.
WKU posted a .290 hitting percentage across the three matches collecting 142 kills along the way. In addition, the defense recorded 29 blocks led by junior middle hitter Gabby Weihe with 12.
Kaira Knox, a freshman right-side hitter from Nolensville, Tenn. was also CUSA’s Week 1 Freshman of the Week after a weekend that saw her with 46 kills, 8 blocks, and 20 digs.
