Michigan hit a season-high 12 three-pointers, highlighted by Greta Kampschroeder‘s five en route to a career-best 23 points. Michigan forced 29 turnovers, totaling 17 steals and turning those into 31 points.

After going back-and-forth in the early going, Michigan (10-2) uncorked a 9-0 run that was capped by a pair of free throws from Syla Swords for a 21-9 lead with just over two minutes remaining. After an Akron layup, U-M got a three-pointer from Mila Holloway and four straight points from Brooke Quarles Daniels to end the quarter on a 7-0 spurt for a 28-11 lead after 10 minutes.

Akron (5-6) called timeout with just over six minutes remaining in the second quarter after Crockett found Te’Yala Delfosse for a layup in transition for a 39-15 Michigan lead.

Michigan hit nine first-half three-pointers, getting five from Kampschroeder alone, for a 51-29 lead at the break. U-M shot 57.1 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes and racked up 12 assists on 16 made field goals.

The Wolverines did not let up in the second half, outscoring the Zips 27-11 in the third quarter. U-M did not turn the ball over in the quarter and scored nine points off Akron’s miscues. Grabovskaia and Holloway each turned in six points during the third as six Wolverines found the scoring column.

Michigan led by as many as 55 points in the final period, getting five points each from Macy Brown and Ally VanTimmeren. U-M’s bench scored 34 points in the contest as Michigan picked up its 10th win of the season.
