The Keiser women’s lacrosse team unveiled its 2025 schedule Thursday. The Seahawks have 16 games in the spring, including seven at the Keiser Multi-Purpose Field in West Palm Beach, Florida.Last season, the Seahawks finished the year with an 11-8 overall record, falling to No. 2 Cumberlands in the NAIA National Championship Tournament. Keiser will look to make it four consecutive trips to the NAIA Final Site this coming May. The Seahawks will have to replace a lot of the firepower from the 2024 squad but will welcome back four all-conference members and NAIA All-American Hayley Frew. Nearly 35% of the goals scored by KU in 2024 came from now graduates as Frew, MacKenzie Gibaud, Milena Isturiz, and Samantha Esher look to make up some of the difference in 2025. The aforementioned Isturiz broke the program record for groundballs in a season last year and is looking towards career records in 2025 as she is nearing the top five in groundballs, caused turnovers, and draw controls. Head Coach Lauren Chizmar is approaching her 100th win at Keiser and will begin her ninth season at the helm in 2025. When asked about the upcoming schedule, she stated, “We have a heavy road slate for 2025, but our team is ready for the challenge. We have grown and developed a lot throughout the fall, and I am so excited to see our team ascend throughout the spring season.”
- The Seahawks will begin their 2025 campaign at home with a game against St. Thomas on Friday, February 7
- On February 22, KU will play their first of two games in two days at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Baltimore, Md.
- Keiser opens Sun Conference play with newcomers, New College of Florida in West Palm Beach on Saturday, March 1
- A week later, the Seahawks will get a chance to face the defending NAIA National Champions, Reinhardt, on March 8 in Waleska, Ga.
- On March 20, Keiser will welcome NCAA Division III Farmingdale State to West Palm Beach, the first time KU has faced a non-NAIA opponent in the regular season since 2020
- KU will face the defending Sun Conference champions on March 30 in Hardeeville, S.C. when they take on SCAD
- The final home game of the season will be played against Ave Maria on Thursday, April 10 in West Palm Beach two days before the final regular season game against St. Thomas in Miami Gardens
- The Sun Conference Tournament Quarterfinal is set to take place at campus sites on April 15 with the semifinal and final scheduled for the following Friday and Saturday in Savannah, Ga.
- The NAIA National Tournament will also be held in Savannah, Ga. beginning April 30 and running through May 3
