Women’s Soccer Readies to Host Colgate

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women’s soccer wraps home non-conference action against Colgate on Thursday evening for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at the Newton Soccer Complex. The match will be streamed live on ACCNX.

A LOOK AT THE OPPOSITION

– Colgate has a record of 1-2-2 to start the season.

– Josie Tunney leads the team with two goals, while five other players have each scored once.

– So far this season, Colgate has allowed eight goals while scoring seven

SERIES HISTORY…

– The two teams have faced each other 10 times in the past, with Boston College winning eight of those matchups.

– The last meeting was in 2017, where Boston College secured a 5-1 victory.

MILESTONE MARKER 

Sophie Reale recorded a hat trick in the match against UAlbany on Sunday.

– Reale is the first player since 2018 to achieve a hat trick.

– The last player to score a hat trick was Sam Coffey, who accomplished this on October 4, 2018, against Virginia Tech.

NEWCOMERS HOT START 

– Eleven new players have seen action in the first five games, including nine freshmen.

– Out of Boston College’s 14 goals this season, 10 have come from newcomers.
