GRANVILLE, Ohio (Dec. 7) – The Denison University women’s swimming squad achieved an impressive additional 11 NCAA ‘B’ cut times, concluding their performance in second place at the 2024 Denison Invitational. The three-day competition took place at the Trumbull Aquatics Center. 
 
The fifth-ranked Big Red amassed a total of 1645.5 points, securing the runner-up position. Emory University, holding the top rank in the latest Division III poll published by the CSCAA, emerged as the women’s team champions with 1979 points. The University of Indianapolis, recognized nationally in Division II, claimed third place with 1478 points, while Division I Eastern Michigan University followed in fourth with 1188.5 points and Washington University of St. Louis rounded out the field with 1031 points. 
 
Quinn Brown commenced the evening session with yet another triumph. Brown secured the championship in the 1650 Free with an NCAA ‘B’ cut time of 16:53.16.  
 
Caroline Ramirez recorded a ‘B’ cut time of 2:03.08, placing fifth in the 200 Back. 
 
Denison boasted four of the top nine finalists in the 100 Free. Olivia Morse emerged as the lead finisher, utilizing her ‘B’ cut time of 51.34 to secure fourth place in the competition. Grace Kadlecik took sixth (51.71), Amber Croonquist claimed eighth (51.86), and Avery Vogen secured ninth (52.04). 
 
Drue Thielking achieved third in the 200 Breaststroke. The junior finished with a time of 2:15.90, which earned her a ‘B’ cut qualification. Riley Tofflemire also earned a ‘B’ cut in the event, finishing in seventh at 2:20.04. 
 
Three representatives from the Big Red reached the finals in the 200 Fly. Emily Harris led the charge with a time of 2:02.25, which placed her third and granted her a ‘B’ cut mark. Emma Pritchett finished fourth with a ‘B’ cut time of 2:04.92. Kayla Tehrani placed sixth at 2:05.39.  
 
Denison concluded the event with a second-place finish in the 400 Free Relay. Harris, Morse, Croonquist, and Kadlecik combined for a time of 3:25.07 to achieve a ‘B’ cut mark.
