OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton women’s tennis head coach Tom Lilly officially unveiled the Bluejays 2025 spring schedule on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
The Bluejays are slated to compete in 21 matches, including eight at the Hanscom Tennis Center and one on the road against a team who finished last season ranked in the year-end Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
Lilly opens his 28th season on the Bluejays sideline with a road matchup at Kansas on Jan. 24, before returning home to battle former Missouri Valley Conference rival Missouri State on Jan. 25.
Creighton will then play five of their next six matches on the road, beginning with a contest against Northern Iowa on Feb. 1 and a match against Gustavus on Feb. 2. CU will also travel to Drake on Feb. 8, before to entertain Idaho on Feb. 9 inside the Hanscom Tennis Center. Another road trip takes the Bluejays to St. Louis for a matchup against Lindenwood on Feb. 14, followed by a match at Western Illinois on Feb. 15.
The Bluejays return to Omaha to open up BIG EAST play against DePaul on Feb. 22, before taking on crosstown rival Omaha on Feb. 23. CU will then host UConn on March 1 and Bradley on March 7, before taking their annual spring break trip down to Orlando, Florida.
While in the Sunshine State, the Bluejays will battle Fairleigh Dickinson on March 11, Niagara on March 12 and Connecticut College on March 13.
The Jays return to the Heartland for three straight home matches against Kansas City (March 19), Marquette (March 28) and North Dakota (March 29), before closing the season with matches on the road at Wichita State (April 4) and South Dakota (April 8), as well as a neutral site match against North Texas on April 5 in Wichita, Kan.
The BIG EAST Championships once again will take place in Cayce, S.C. on April 17-20.
All of the Bluejays’ home matches will be open to the public with free admission.
