Next up for the Jumbos was the pole vault, which was mercifully held indoors. Remarkably, three Tufts vaulters would end up tied for second place. Sophomores Lena Tang and Emma Gall finished even with senior Nyla Thompson, each with marks of 3.55m. Each Jumbo also landed within the top 30 scores in the NCAA Division III.

The final event of the day saw two Jumbos take podium positions. Sophomore Ceci LaBarge took second in the hammer throw with a personal best toss of 49.12m. It landed her the 32nd best throw in the NCAA Division III. Right behind her was senior Liz Graham who took third place with a 43.64m, just about 30 cm off her personal best.

The Jumbos will resume competition tomorrow with the remaining field events and track events to come as the Carla Coffey Invitational continues at 10:00 am.
