CARBONDALE, ILL. – Over the weekend, the women’s track and field team showcased their skills at the Saluki Fast Start. Kicking off the 2024-25 track and field season, Lindenwood delivered an impressive performance, breaking personal records and achieving notable placements.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Shot Put – Aliyah Robertson secured a fourth-place finish, throwing the shot put 13.00 meters.

High Jump — Mireya Simpson (1.61m) achieved a personal best, solidifying her position in Lindenwood’s all-time top 10 high jump finishes. 

Long Jump – Christelle Barafundi finished fourth, jumping 5.54 meters in her debut as a Lion. Kinsey Dueker (5.33m) achieved a new personal best in the indoor long jump. 

60-Meter – Gabby Russina (7.87) placed 14th in the prelims, establishing a new personal record.

400-Meter – Gabriella Evangelista De La Rosa finished 24th, completing the 400-meter dash in 1:05.15.

One Mile Run – Kadence Berry came in 12th with a time of 5:39.33 in the mile.

3000 Meter – Kadence Berry (11:10.65) achieved a ninth-place finish.

Pentathlon – Kinsey Dueker (3259) secured eighth place, setting a new personal best.

The Lions will compete again on January 17th at the Mizzou Show-Me-Showdown.
