BALTIMORE, Md. – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling squad achieved its inaugural dual victory of the 2024-25 season on Sunday afternoon, defeating Morgan State away with a score of 34-6.
 
Brady Pruett (125), #28 Ryan Miller (133), Evan Mougalian (141), #13 Cross Wasilewski (149), Jackson Dean (157), Reed Fullmer (165), #6 Nick Incontrera (174), and Josh Labarbera (197) prevailed over their adversaries to accumulate 34 points for Penn’s first dual triumph of the season.

*Dean, Fullmer, Labarbera, and Pruett secured their initial collegiate dual victories against the Bears.
 
*This win represents the 249th dual win for head coach Roger Reina during his tenure at Penn.
 
*Senior Incontrera maintained his unbeaten record this season, advancing to 6-0 after his decision win over Darrien Roberts.
 
How It Went Down
The Quakers established dominance right from the beginning as junior Pruett earned his first dual victory in Red and Blue with a tech fall over Julian Dawson, 19-1. Senior Miller continued the momentum during his first start of the season, also winning by tech fall against Shawn Ryncarz, 17-2.
 
Sophomore Mougalian clinched his second consecutive dual victory, extending Penn’s lead to 15-0 with a tech fall win over Myrin Nixon, 16-1. Following him, sophomore Wasilewski recorded the only major decision of the match, defeating Yannis Charles, 15-3.
 
Senior Dean made a statement in his first collegiate start, triumphing over Eric Tecson by decision, 6-3. Morgan State forfeited the 165 match, granting freshman Fullmer his first dual win.
 
The last two wins of the day came from #6 Incontrera, who smoothly defeated Roberts (5-0), and senior Labarbera, who achieved his first dual victory with an 8-1 decision over Cameron Johnson.
 
Next Up
The Quakers (1-2) will take a break for a few weeks before traveling to the Windy City on Sunday, Dec. 29, for the Midlands Championships.
