Sometimes, you’re on-field adversaries become your biggest rivals after retirement.
Although the career paths of Asante Samuel and Antonio Brown only crossed briefly, the two are now tied together due to an online beef.

Since Brown retired from the NFL, he’s taken to social media to express his, well, colorful takes. And no one is immune.
Brown was recently called out by Samuel on X, indicating that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin let Brown get away with too much, and that had he played for one of Samuel’s teams, his career might not have turned out like it did.
“If Mike Tomlin never babied you @AB84 NFL would’ve been an afterthought,” he wrote. “You couldn’t survive anywhere else. The Steelers organization and players allowed you to act crazy. Lucky you never played on my team. You would’ve been dealt with immediately and not by the coach. Facts!”

This was in response to an earlier blast about Samuel made by Brown.
“Asante Samuel Tryin clown ppl online like he me Couldn’t even carry my jock strap What has Asante done after nfl career? Try be clown online … Try tear down who ppl vote for … How that working out for him?? Stick to what u good at… which is???”
We can only wonder what would’ve happened had these two players gone up against each other for longer. By the time Browns was breaking into the league with the Steelers in 2010, Samuel was with the Eagles and finished his career in Atlanta in 2013.
If they had played longer together, their relationship might have been similar to what we saw in the NFC South between Bucs receiver Mike Evans and former Saints corner Marshawn Lattimore before he was traded to the Commanders last season.

The Denver Nuggets sort of lucked into having one of the best players in NBA history, drafting Nikola Jokic 41st overall in 2014. Of course, Jokic turning into a three-time MVP, Finals MVP, and an outright NBA legend was not expected, but the Nuggets will certainly accept it.
Now, Jokic is a worldwide superstar, despite a minimal sense of urgency to have any type of media presence. Still, his popularity is showing in his most recent trip.
Jokic is signed with the Chinese shoe brand, 361 Degrees, and the company organized a five-day trip for Jokic to visit China. Needless to say, the fans have gone wild. Multiple posts have shown the fan reactions to Jokic’s first day in China.

This past season, Jokic averaged 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game with 57.6/41.7/80.0 shooting splits. Jokic ultimately finished second in NBA MVP voting, completing his fifth consecutive year of finishing in the top two for the award. Jokic is the first NBA player since Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird to reach that feat.
The Serbian big man is a global superstar, regardless of whether he wants to be or not.

The New York Liberty trounced the short-handed Indiana Fever on Wednesday night, a day after Caitlin Clark suffered a new groin injury.
Clark, who missed her 11th game of the season, was seen on the sidelines at Barclays Center in street clothes cheering her team on against the reigning WNBA champs. In their last meeting, Clark lifted the Fever to a thrilling win over the Liberty in an instantly iconic matchup that marked Clark’s first game back from her first groin injury. This time around, Clark could only watch as Liberty stars Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu dismantled the Fever en route to a 98-77 victory.
After the game, Clark was seen smiling and hanging out with some members of the Liberty outside the locker room. Liberty coach Sandy Brodello and Stewart seemed to be having a light-hearted conversation with Clark, along with what appeared to be her agent, Erin Kane.
The photo has since been making the rounds on social media:

So sweet.
Clark notably shared a heartfelt embrace with Ionescu on the court following the Fever’s loss. Clark picked the Liberty guard to be on her team for the WNBA All-Star game in Indianapolis on Saturday night, but the two stars may not end up getting the chance to play together with Clark’s status unclear. She appeared to bother her groin during the Fever’s Tuesday night game.
Still, it’s nice to see Clark in good spirits after her latest injury setback and receive support from both teammates and rivals who are hoping she can recover soon.
“You never want to see a player get injured. A player like Caitlin, coming back, has had a few injuries this year. She’s a great player. It would have been good for our crowd to see her,” Brondello said ahead of Wednesday’s game.

Since becoming a college football coach in 2020, Deion Sanders has become one of the most outspoken and polarizing figures in college athletics.
Over the past two seasons, he has delivered a mix of fiery statements and memorable, often humorous media moments that have captivated fans. Here are the top five moments since his arrival on the coaching scene.

Top Five Deion Sanders Media Moments as Head Coach
1) CBS Affiliate
Sanders was conducting a routine press conference with the Colorado Buffaloes on August 9, 2024, when a reporter from CBS’s Denver affiliate tried to ask him a question. Coach Prime immediately shut it down because CBS Sports had badmouthed him earlier in the week.
“CBS, I’m not doing nothing with CBS,” Sanders said.
Later in the same interview at the 15:30 mark of the press conference, Sanders pressed a Denver Post reporter for similar reasons.
“You don’t like us, man, why do you do this to yourself?” Sanders said.
2) He’d Be Heisman
In Deion’s first game with Colorado, the Buffaloes were in a matchup with the TCU Horned Frogs. In the first half, future Heisman winner Travis Hunter went nuclear, and Sanders told a reporter that if he had been hit on two missed deep balls, he’d already have the Heisman.

“He is him. We missed him on two deep balls,” Sanders said. “He gets those two deep balls, the Heisman is in his crib chilling right now.”
3) Protecting His Players
During a press conference on September 29, 2024, Sanders lost patience with reporters criticizing college football players. He fired back, saying they were “jealous” because the athletes now earn more money than the reporters do.
“Once upon a time you guys never attacked college players, now they’re making more money than y’all and some of y’all are envious and jealous about that so you’re on the attack.”

“Once upon a time, you guys never attacked college players,” Sanders said. “Now they’re making more money than y’all, and some of y’all are envious and jealous about that, so you’re on the attack.”
4) Don’t Call Me Deion
In a press conference at Jackson State, Sanders walked out of an interview after a Mississippi Clarion Ledger reporter addressed him by his first name.
“You don’t call Nick Saban, ‘Nick.’ Don’t call me Deion,” Sanders told the reporter. “If you call Nick [Saban] Nick, you’ll get cussed out on the spot, so don’t do that to me. Treat me like Nick.”
5) It’s Personal
In Sanders’s first year as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, the team faced their bitter rival, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. During the game, Sanders’ son, Shedeur, who was the team’s quarterback, broke off a run and removed his helmet at the end of the play.
In a hilarious moment, Coach Prime broke down what happened in the post-game interview.
“I went over and said you cannot do that. You cannot take your helmet off. He said, ‘Dad it’s personal.’ I just bent over and laughed my butt off,” Sanders said.
While it’s tough to narrow down Sanders’ media moments to just five highlights, one thing is sure: With Coach Prime, there’s never a dull moment, and fans eagerly await whatever bold statement he makes next.

Nick Walker Defends 50

The sport has changed, and so have posing routines. Though some flair can help inject life into a routine, some believe they’ve gone too far. After a 50-year-old bodybuilder was ridiculed for his presentation at a recent bodybuilding contest, Nick Walker came to his defense, courtesy of an Instagram post shared on July 14, 2025.
In today’s social media landscape, competitors will try just about anything to get noticed and gain followers. It begs the question: How much dancing and entertainment is permitted in NPC and IFBB Pro League routines? It’s not banned — so it’s hard to say.
In most divisions, individual posing routines do not factor into the judges’ scores. Thus, athletes have taken it upon themselves to spice things up to keep the crowd happy. Some have argued that these routines make the sport look bad and less professional, though others believe competitors have the right to self-expression.
Nick Walker Blasts Fans for Ridiculing Athlete’s Posing Routine: “I’m Tired of Seeing This Shit”
After Eli Murdock’s posing routine went viral, fans were quick to condemn his actions in the comment section:
“This guy represents the real interest of federations, especially the NPC. The show and effort of true athletes never mattered to them, their membership money did,” one commenter wrote.
“Bodybuilding going back to the basics, the Circus 🎪,” shared another.

“I think he should be disqualified on time and walk off the stage, disrespect to serious athletes, that cannot be accepted in sport,” said one person.
“Why not sign up for a musical? Because bodybuilding is about the presentation of your shape, not about showing off…. 🧠🆘” another person added.
“It is not their fault ! It’s who let them participate in events!” one commenter posted.
Walker explained in his Instagram post that he’s fed up with fans mocking Murdock’s routine:
“I like to mind my business and not really say on too many things, but I’m sorry, I think you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for ridiculing this man the way you guys are.
The dude is 50 years old. We have no idea what he’s been through in life. For all we know, getting to the stage right now, putting on this routine was just like a milestone for this guy.”
“The Mutant” defended Murdock and emphasized that he was doing something fun while entertaining the crowd.
“You guys are just making it out to be a joke and making fun of him. And he thinks he’s doing something cool, something entertaining, something fun, and you’re just legit ridiculing him, and I’m tired of seeing this shit.
The dude is just having fun. Let him have his fun. Let him do his thing. Who cares? Are you entertained? I’m sure you are, and that’s the point.”
Lee Priest has also tackled whether dancing is appropriate at bodybuilding contests. He said that while it’s entertaining to watch, it makes the sport look less professional.
“It’s funny to look at, but to me, it just makes the sport look stupid. If he had clothes on doing that at a nightclub, it wouldn’t look half as bad, but for some reason, when you’re a muscular guy covered in oil and posing trunks or even board shorts, doing that onstage, it doesn’t look right.”
Walker believes mocking Murdock’s posing routine is misguided, as fans don’t know the journey he faced before stepping onstage. In a sport that allows for creativity, Walker appreciates that athletes have the freedom to tailor posing routines to their liking.

Mya Lesnar, a top collegiate shot-putter and daughter of WWE icon Brock Lesnar, has gone public with her relationship with NFL player Drew Moss. The couple made their quiet debut on Instagram on Sunday, 13 July, with a simple photo and a caption that quickly caught the attention of fans and sports blogs alike.
Moss, 22, an offensive guard with the San Francisco 49ers, shared a formal picture of himself alongside Lesnar, 23, with the caption: ‘Forever wedding date’. Lesnar replied in the comments: ‘My handsome man’. It didn’t take long for the internet to notice.
A Soft Reveal, A Big Reaction
There was no red carpet rollout or media statement. Just one understated post that offered a rare glimpse into a relationship previously unknown to the public.
Within hours, the image began circulating online. Some were surprised by the pairing, others were simply charmed by its sincerity. In a social media landscape often filled with curated perfection, fans praised the couple for keeping things real.
Lesnar, who competes for Colorado State University, has largely kept her personal life out of the spotlight. Known for her power in the throwing circle rather than the social scene, she has already claimed an NCAA Outdoor Championship title and recently competed in the prestigious Wanda Diamond League meet at the Prefontaine Classic.
Moss, meanwhile, signed with the 49ers earlier this year as an undrafted free agent from Lamar University. As a guard, he plays one of the least glamorous but most vital roles in American football. While not a household name yet, he is currently fighting for a spot on the 49ers’ final roster.
Quiet Roots and Fan Intrigue
Mya Lesnar and Drew Moss had been quietly seeing each other for some time before their relationship became public. While little has been shared about how or where they met, the outlet noted their low-profile connection stood out in the sports world.
The casual nature of Moss’s Instagram post, filled with smiles and soft moments, resonated with fans. Many praised the lack of PR polish, calling it ‘refreshingly normal’ amid the typical celebrity-style reveals.
The Name That Always Ddraws Attention
Of course, part of the buzz around the reveal came from Lesnar’s surname. Her father, Brock Lesnar, is one of the few athletes to reach the top of both WWE and the UFC, a heavyweight with a fierce presence and an even fiercer following.
But Mya’s journey couldn’t be more different. Focused on throwing events, not fighting, her rise has been steady and self-made. Until now, her public image has been built on performance alone.
And while she didn’t post the photo herself, her three-word comment on Moss’s post was enough to confirm what fans instantly recognised, a genuine connection, shared openly, and on their terms.
From Private Moment to Public Headline
Neither Lesnar nor Moss has added further comment, and they haven’t needed to. Sometimes one image and one line say plenty. Social media support rolled in quickly, with fans applauding the subtle reveal and expressing admiration for both athletes. Many were glad to see two promising young talents choosing to go public in such a grounded way.
