Saturday saw light to moderate winds from the southeast with increasing current and decreasing breeze towards the end of the day, as Navy got off to a hot start by winning its first nine races and sailing with calm confidence while showing command of its team-racing playbook. The Midshipmen suffered a setback towards the end of Saturday to Georgetown in marginal conditions, but rebounded nicely with a win against George Washington to close out the day. Heading into the second day of racing, the Mids stood first overall with a 10-1 record and four races to go in the 16-team round robin.

Sunday saw very windy conditions but the race management team did a great job keeping the event safe while completing all 120 races in the round robin, with Navy coming out strong to close out the event while displaying expert speed and boat-handling in the extreme conditions. In the end, Navy swept Sunday to win the regatta with a 14-1 record.
