AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ —

  • Ram returns to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in 2026, after a 13-year break, as part of a powerful product launch cadence — 25 announcements in 18 months
  • Drive to NASCAR begins with a high-octane reveal of a new Ram 1500 concept race truck at Michigan International Speedway that includes a wild donut trailer
  • Ram brand celebrates the HEMI® V-8’s historic comeback and return to NASCAR in “Ram-Demption” marketing campaign
  • Performance pickups are embedded in Ram’s DNA: Ram 1500 RHO and TRX, Power Wagon and SRT10 Viper Truck

Ram will join the field for the 2026 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, ending a 13-year break. Today, the brand unveiled a new Ram 1500 concept race truck that previews the design for next year. Returning to the racetrack marks a major milestone, part of a pedal-to-the-metal drive for Ram that covers 25 product announcements over 18 months.

The news of Ram’s return to NASCAR was officially announced by Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram brand, during a live NASCAR event at the Michigan International Speedway this weekend. Jaw-dropping moments included a Ram 5500 hauling a custom trailer built specifically for smoky donuts, courtesy of Ram’s NASCAR concept truck. Anderson Silva, Hall of Fame MMA icon, took to the track to shoot HEMI®-branded T-shirts into the crowd.

“For more than a decade, customers and our dealer network asked about getting back into NASCAR. The desire was always there, but we didn’t have a plan that delivered the last tenth and following just didn’t fit our DNA,” said Kuniskis. “Now we have a solid plan that will set us apart from the field and will bring fresh new interest and engagement to America’s motorsport.”

Joining the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, in a way that only Ram can, is a natural, strategic move for the brand, as more than 40% of NASCAR fans are truck owners. The popular and competitive race series gives Ram a high-performance showcase as it launches a series of exciting and capable new trucks.

“Ram returning to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series is a major moment for the sport, and a sign that NASCAR remains a strong platform for blue chip brand partners,” said John Probst, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer. “We are excited to welcome Ram back to the sport. Its identity includes high performance, durability and innovation – characteristics that embody NASCAR and, specifically, the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.”

Ram 1500 NASCAR Concept
The Ram 1500 concept race truck unveiled today was molded by the Ram design team. The concept resembles a production truck, adopting elements from the Ram Truck Sport lineup (Warlock, Rebel and RHO), but honed with an aerodynamic signature to slip through the air efficiently, yet with enough airflow to cool a race engine that revs over 9,000 rpm. Body lines around the fenders and grille carry a familiar appearance, framing a large Ram logo that separates this truck from the pack.

The one-off body design is covered by a two-tone Gloss Black canvas with Molten Red lower. The Ram design team created an impactful and exciting livery that complements the visual emotion of Ram’s design DNA and highlights Direct Connection and Symbol of Protest logos. Mopar’s Direct Connection aftermarket unit is adding performance options for Ram trucks and earns prominent signage on the concept race truck.

“There will be more details on our NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series program later this year,” added Kuniskis. “We are undoubtedly having fun with this project, and I truly look forward to sharing information on our team and how getting back on track relates to the future of Ram performance.”

In conjunction with the news, the brand showed off its “Ram-Demption” campaign, featuring Kuniskis behind the wheel of Ram’s NASCAR concept truck at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina, with the iconic Goodyear Blimp and jets flying overhead. Different versions of the “Ram-Demption” video include 60-second, 30-second and 15-second spots that will run across NASCAR media and the Ram brand’s social media channels, plus a long-form video running on www.ram.com and on YouTube. “Ram-Demption” was created in partnership with Argonaut agency.

Ram’s racing news is part of a power celebration that includes a popular demand return of the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, as orders open for the engine’s availability in the 2026 Ram 1500.

Ram exited factory support of NASCAR’s CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in 2012 after a 17-year run and focused on launching the new 2013 Ram 1500. Ram’s return is one part of a strategy to build on the greatest variety of sport trucks and off-road enthusiast trucks the brand has ever offered.

Ram boasts a rich history of performance trucks, including the Power Wagon, SRT10 Viper Truck, TRX, RHO, Rumble Bee, Little Red Express and Warlock.

In 2004, a Ram SRT-10, piloted by NASCAR driver Brendan Gaughan, set a Guinness World Record for the world’s fastest production truck with an average speed of 154.587 mph (248.784 km/h) at the Stellantis Proving Grounds in Chelsea, Mich.

Ram Brand

Ram Professional is making considerable changes in process, execution and resources with a focus on commercial offerings, dedicated B2B-focused expertise, and sales and service support, which are critical to growing in this segment.

Crown Concepts, a premier performance automotive business based in Arizona, has announced the acquisition of Racing Equipment Sales (trading as Radical Arizona) and the signing of a full dealership agreement with Radical Motorsport, the global manufacturer of world-renowned purpose-built race cars.

The agreement solidifies Crown Concepts’ position as the Southwest’s leading destination for Radical sales, service, parts, engine rebuilds, and national-level racing support.

“We’ve supported Radical drivers for years,” said Curtis Brown, CEO at Crown Concepts. “This acquisition formalizes a long-standing relationship and opens the door to an even more immersive experience for drivers looking to go fast, compete hard, and have fun. We’re proud to offer full-spectrum Radical support, from test drives to racing.”

As part of the agreement, Crown Concepts will continue to operate from its 27,500 sq. ft., Tucson-based performance facility, while also supporting Radical drivers at Apex Motor Club, Inde Motorsports Ranch, Podium Club and national-level Radical Cup events.

“Crown Concepts has consistently impressed us with their technical expertise, hospitality, and deep connection to the Radical community,” said Tom Drewer, Director of the Americas for Radical Motorsport. “We’re thrilled to welcome them as an official dealer and look forward to accelerating Radical’s presence in Arizona and beyond.”

The transaction includes the acquisition of Radical Arizona from long-time steward Jason Plotke, who helped build one of the most successful Radical dealerships worldwide in Arizona through his leadership and close ties with Apex Motor Club.

“This transition is the natural evolution of a great story,” said Plotke, Co-Founder of Apex Motor Club and former owner of Radical Arizona.

“Crown has been a trusted partner and a critical component of the Radical success created in Arizona, both on and off the track. Their investment here isn’t just financial, it’s cultural, and it ensures that Radical customers will be well taken care of for years to come.”

Chris McMurry, Apex Motor Club member and Board member of Racer Media & Marketing, Inc., which owns the popular RACER brand that includes RACER.com, is a passionate Radical competitor who echoed Jason’s sentiment.

“As a driver and longtime fan of the Radical platform, I’ve seen firsthand how Crown Racing elevates the experience. Their commitment to excellence, whether in the garage or on the grid, is second to none which is highlighted by the multiple Pro1340 Radical Cup North America Team Championships they have earned.”

Crown’s expanded offering will further support Radical racers at top Arizona tracks, with endorsements from partners throughout the motorsports ecosystem.

“Crown has been a pillar of performance at Apex since day one,” said Matt Williams, President of Apex Motor Club.

“Their acquisition of Radical Arizona is great news for our members and great news for Arizona motorsports.”

CJ Dorland, President at Inde Motorsports Ranch, added: “We’re looking forward to seeing many more Radical cars on the track here at Inde for our members to enjoy. Crown Concepts brings next-level expertise to the paddock and the pits.”

After two road course races, NASCAR heads to Dover Motor Speedway and its challenging 1-mile concrete oval. Moving from an April date to July is expected to bring higher temperatures to Delaware as drivers battle out the penultimate round of the In-Season Challenge.

A new Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setup designed specifically for the Monster Mile’s ever-changing track surface awaits NASCAR Cup Series teams. The new tire has been designed to withstand the high speeds and high loads associated with racing at Dover, and won’t be used at any other track this season.

“Laying rubber down on the concrete surface is a key factor in the design of our tread compounds for Dover,” said Rick Heinrich, Goodyear NASCAR product manager. “While the track turns black as cars lay rubber down during green flag racing, the hot tires then pick up this same rubber when the track cools under cautions. Dover presents a unique opportunity to engineer a tire to help in laying down rubber on a particularly smooth surface, and we’ve designed the product to do just that.”

In contrast to the new Cup Series setup, NASCAR Xfinity Series teams will use familiar tires at Dover. This is the fourth consecutive race at Dover using this Xfinity Series tire setup, and both tires have already been used this season: the left-side tire five times so far and most recently at Pocono, and the right-side tire at Nashville. Unlike the Cup Series, Xfinity Series teams use inner liners on ovals 1-mile and longer, including Dover.

Vermont man loses $100K to NASCAR pro impersonator — what The Ramsey Show hosts suggest he do next to recover

In February 2024, Burlington resident Mark, 54, accepted a Facebook friend request from an impersonator claiming to be NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin.

Over several weeks, the impersonator claimed that a “briefcase full of prize money” was stuck in customs and that his documentation for entering the United States had expired.

Trusting his new “friend,” Mark bought six $500 gift cards. When that didn’t free the briefcase, the scammer urged him to tap his savings.

Mark withdrew from his IBM 401(k) and took additional loans against a second 401(k) with GlobalFoundries. He sent funds by cashier’s check.

By the time doubts crept in, he had lost more than $100,000 in savings. It was only later that Mark realized he’d been duped.

Once he recognized the scam, Mark contacted the U.S. Secret Service, filed a complaint with the FBI and alerted multiple state and local agencies. Despite his efforts and the help of an attorney, law enforcement determined the funds were irretrievable.

“The chances of getting that money back are very, very, very slim.” John Deloney lamented.

Today, Mark’s 401(k) balance is $146,321 — down from an estimated $200,000 before the fraud. Earning $60,000 annually, he maintains a lean budget: $1,000 monthly rent (including utilities), $60 for phone service, $50 for internet and no credit-card debt and $22,000 in 401(k) loans.

“Somebody weaponized what I think is the most sacred thing, and that’s a relationship. And inside that relationship somebody asked you for help, and you’re the kind of guy that helps. And that hurts, man.”

Hosts George Kamel and John Delony laid out a disciplined recovery plan:

  • Build an emergency fund of three to six months’ expenses: Set aside a portion of each paycheck into a separate savings account until you’ve covered three to six months of living expenses to serve as a financial buffer against unexpected setbacks.

  • Eliminate loans: Mark can make small lifestyle sacrifices and redirect extra cash toward paying off his $22,000 in 401(k) loans more quickly. Deloney advised him to treat it as a “sweat tax” that would remind him to avoid risky online relationships in the future.

  • Invest 15 percent of your income back into retirement: Kamel advised Mark to contribute 15 percent of his $60,000 salary to his 401(k) over time. Done right, disciplined investing could help him build a $1 million nest egg for a dignified retirement.

The NASCAR Xfinity race at Dover will feature NASCAR Truck Series regular Rajah Caruth and rising star Jake Finch, who will be making his Xfinity Series debut.

On Monday, Hendrick Motorsports announced that they will enter the No. 17 Chevrolet with the 20-year-old Finch behind the wheel. Finch is a winner in the ARCA Menard’s Series, but has zero starts in any of the three national levels of the sport. Finch is also the son of former NASCAR team owner, James Finch, who operated Phoenix Racing in the Cup Series for over 20 years.

This will be the 12th Xfinity race HMS has entered this year. Kyle Larson and William Byron have both won with the No. 17 during the 2025 season, but the car has also featured Chase Elliott, Alex Bowman, and Corey Day.

But Finch’s HMS announcement wasn’t the only Xfinity news on Monday. Caruth, who drives for Spire Motorsports full-time in the Truck Series, will pilot the No. 32 Chevrolet for Jordan Anderson Racing at Dover.

Caruth is a proven winner in the Truck Series with a victory at Las Vegas in 2024, ending the year seventh in points. He won again at Nashville, earlier this year, once again locking himself into the playoffs.

Caruth also has 19 starts in the Xfinity Series, but none since the end of the 2023 season.

Like the HMS No. 17, JAR’s No. 32 car has also used a variety of drivers during the year, including Katherine Legge, Austin Green, and team owner Jordan Anderson. Its best result came at both Daytona and Mexico City, placing seventh.

The NASCAR Xfinity race at Dover will also see the NXS debut of ARCA driver Lavar Scott, which was previously announced.
