“We hope to see the next batch of elite e-athletes to emerge from this tournament who could someday bring honor to our country in international Esports competitions,” continued Tolentino. 
“This tournament is for our youth! We know that mobile gaming has evolved into a global community. We have Esports as official events in collegiate leagues. It has debuted at the Southeast Asian Games, the Asian Games, and soon at the Olympics,” said Tolentino.

Tolentino noted that the evolution of Esports is driven by the growing accessibility of mobile phones and internet services. 

The very first “Click na Click si TOL” invitational tournament features two of the most popular Esports games today, namely: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and Call of Duty Mobile (CODM).

The annual Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Games, which Tolentino also organized, likewise included Esports as part of its regular events.
“Filipino gamers are acknowledged among the best in our region, if not the world. We are highly skilled and competitive. By organizing the very first ‘Click na Click si TOL’ tournament, we are giving young players an opportunity to showcase their talent,” he added.Article continues after this advertisement

“We cannot afford to fall behind in digital infrastructure. It is for this reason that I’m pushing for stronger connectivity across the country through the amendments I proposed for the ‘Konektadong Pinoy’ Bill, and the 20-percent student discount for digital communication and internet services through Senate Bill 2972,” he explained.
The very first “Click na Click si TOL” tournament was held at the Dasmariñas Arena in Cavite and attracted hundreds of Esports teams and players.
