INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana high school boys basketball games are being postponed Friday night as a result of a winter storm across the state.
One of the canceled games is Ben Davis vs. North Central, which was to air Friday night on WNDY, MyIndy TV 23. Marion vs. Carmel replaced that game on WNDY, but that game has also been cancelled.

Ally Coffey notched the 1,000th strikeout in her career, leading Michigan Lutheran Seminary to a sweep Wednesday.
Seminary knocked off Kingston, 6-5 and 11-1, in a non-conference softball doubleheader to improve its record to 27-9, setting the school record for wins.
Coffey struck out 14 in the opener, adding a homer and two doubles at the plate. Addison Whitmer, Kerin Gardner, Makayla Roth and London Retberg added two hits each for MLS.
Gardner earned the complete-game win in the nightcap, adding two hits and scoring twice on offense. Roth, Coffey, Retberg and Emily Laupichler added two hits each.
Seminary heads to the Division 4 district semifinals, taking on St. Charles at noon Saturday.
Boys Golf
Division 4 at Mount Pleasant: Nouvel placed four golfers in the top six in the Division 4 regional at Mount Pleasant Country Club, claiming the regional championship with a 329. Ian Ziegelmann led the Panthers, finishing third with an 80. Alex McCarthy, Ty Iamurri and Rodney Iamurri all shot 83s to tie for sixth place. Nouvel heads to Katke Golf Course at Ferris State for the Division 4 state finals June 6-7 after finishing fourth in the state in 2024.
Softball
Swan Valley 11-5, Flushing 5-4: Mia Robinson earned a pair of wins, allowing eight hits and one earned run in the opener while striking out 12. She followed with three innings of relief in Swan Valley’s Game 2 walk-off win, allowing no hits with seven strikeouts. In the opener, Izzy Coffel led the offense with three hits and three RBIs, while Hailey Koch added two hits and Violet Boehler two RBIs. Chloe Bryce hit a homer. In the second game, Robinson had two hits and two RBIs, with Bryce walking twice.
Hemlock 12, Freeland 9: Madeline McDonald led the Freeland offense with three RBIs, while Sophia Price and Jess Meyette added three hits each. Freeland, 20-13, heads to the district at Bay City John Glenn to take on Essexville Garber at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Millington 4, Essexville Garber 1: Millington sisters Logan and Morgan Matusik each hit solo homers in the fifth inning to power the 24-9 Cardinals to the non-conference win. Lilly Damm added two runs and two hits. Morgan Matusik earned the win, striking out two in six innings.
Coleman 7-7, McBain 4-6: Coleman swept the non-conference doubleheader, with Klaira Sysak getting two hits in the opener with three hits and two RBIs in the nightcap. Addison Kenyon added two hits and Sydney Bovee two walks in Game 1, with Raegan McCoy earning the win in relief with three hits, one run and two strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. Coleman scored three runs in the sixth to earn the Game 2 win. Isabelle Lewis had two hits, with Kendall Allen earning the win.
Baseball
Lapeer 5-2, Heritage 4-8: Brady Gotham had two hits and Jack Thompson added two RBIs in the Game 1 loss. In the nightcap, Brady Boelter allowed four hits and two earned runs in five innings, striking out four to earn the win for Heritage. Dom Bloedel led the Hawks (17-14, 15-7) with two hits and an RBI, with Matt Shaner Jr. driving in two runs.
Caro 14-22, Bad Axe 0-0: Caro put up some big numbers on senior night, sweeping the Big Thumb doubleheader. Max Grice earned the win in the first game, allowing three hits and striking out nine in five innings. He also had two hits and three stolen bases on offense. Trentin Hessling led the offense with three hits and three RBIs, while Ramon Zamora Jr. added two hits and four RBIs. Xander Grice and Ty Farver drove in two runs each. Zamora Jr. continued to wield the hot bat in the second game with four hits and three RBIs, followed by Xander Grice with three hits and three RBIs. Landyn Stine and Olyver Downing drove in three runs each, with Hessling and Wyatt Waterman driving in two runs each.
Boys Lacrosse
Haslett 18, Heritage 2: Heritage saw its season end in the regional championship game Wednesday. Josh Larsen made 16 saves for the Hawks, who finish the season at 12-7. Elden Wideman and Colin Workman scored Heritage’s two goals against Haslett, which advances to play Mattawan in a Division 2 quarterfinal Friday.

(WHSV) – The VHSL Region 3C soccer tournaments got underway on Wednesday night while the Region 3C baseball and softball tournament games were pushed to Thursday because of weather.
In West Virginia, East Hardy clinched a spot in the WVSSAC Class A state tournament after defeating Tygarts Valley 8-6 in the WVSSAC Class A Region II Championship.
