Your Sports Nation — Editorial Policy
Your Sports Nation is an independent sports media publication covering NIL, high school and college athletics, professional sports, sports technology, sports culture, and the business of sports. This Editorial Policy explains how we produce our content and the standards we hold ourselves to.
Our Mission — We give fans accurate, timely, and engaging sports coverage, with a special focus on the next generation of athletes: NIL deals, recruiting, the transfer portal, and high school and college competition.
Editorial Independence — Our editorial decisions are made independently. Coverage is never influenced by advertisers or partners. When content is sponsored or produced in partnership, including through YourNILDeal, it is clearly labeled as partner or sponsored content.
Accuracy and Fact-Checking — We strive for accuracy in everything we publish and check reporting against reputable sources before publication. If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently.
Sourcing and Attribution — We credit our sources and link to original reporting where appropriate. We do not republish articles from other outlets. Quotes and data are attributed to their original source.
Use of AI — We use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and editing. All content is reviewed by a human editor before publication, and we are responsible for everything we publish. We do not publish unedited, automatically generated content.
Images and Copyright — We use images we are licensed to use, including Creative Commons, public domain, and royalty-free sources, with attribution where required, or media supplied to us with permission. We do not use copyrighted photos without a license.
Corrections — If you spot an error, contact us and we will review it. Significant corrections are noted on the article.
Advertising and Sponsored Content — Your Sports Nation is supported by advertising and partnerships. Sponsored and partner content is always disclosed, and advertising never dictates our editorial coverage.
